I wear it to amplify my energy.

I’ve always worn fragrance for myself rather than for others, and I wear it to amplify my energy. It’s about ritualising your routine, stating your intentions for the day by taking a moment for yourself. Science has shown that positive emotions and feelings can contribute to better health. I believe that in the future more of us will come to understand and accept the influence of energy as part of our overall well-being. We’ll know how to channel it, clear it, raise and work with it, and Vyrao is at the heart of that purpose. Vyrao helps us connect to ourselves.

Vyrao’s founder Yasmin Sewell spent many years working in the fashion industry as a buyer and creative director before her passion for wellness and energetic medicine lead her to creating Vyrao. “My aha moment came in 2019 when I realised energy needed to be the source of my brand,” says Yasmin. “Channelling it came first, what it’s channelled into came second. So we started with fragrance.”Scent is such a potent tool for wellbeing because our sense of smell is processed by the part of the brain where memories are made and emotions are processed. Feeling joy, happiness and love benefit us spiritually and mentally, and at Vyrao we use ingredients specifically chosen to weave feelings with the highest vibration into each scent. “I’m always surprised how people will say ‘I was so stressed last week, now I have a cold, my glands are up.’ But they never say ‘I had the most joyous week. I laughed the whole time and now I feel really well.’ But it’s totally true. The positive has more impact than the negative.” That’s why everything we do at Vyrao is about raising our sense of positivity, joy and good feelings.

’Scent is emotional,
it evokes powerful feelings and vivid memories. It energises the spirit and awakens the mind.

Yasmin Sewell’s career is built on strong sense of instinct and her talent for what the Japanese call kuuki wo yomu, a word used to mean ‘reading the atmosphere’. As such Yasmin’s work is guided by her desire to share her joy of beauty, fashion, design and the magic of being in the now with her community, whether at retail, online, or on her influential social channels.

She has helped direct the ambition, atmosphere and product offering at Browns, Chloe, Mulberry, Shinsegae South Korea, Farfetch and Liberty. Yasmin has also championed many now famous designers in her career including Acne, The Row, Christopher Kane, Roksanda, and J. W Anderson whom she convinced to shift his main focus from men’s to women’s clothing.

Running alongside her career Yasmin is a lifelong advocate for personal self-care, wellbeing and energetic connection, and is trained in Integrative Quantum Medicine™ and Reiki.

For 2021 Yasmin’s twin passions have entwined into her own business, Vyrao, a multi-dimensional wellbeing brand. Vyrao launched at Selfridges in May 2021.
